I produce 1080i50 master files, 25fps to go into Bluray/DVD….that is fine for “old SD Pal” countries but “old NTSC” countries” do not use many code free multisystem Bluray players (not popular as in here) so I need an alternative to produce AppleProRes or Bluray files in 24p for those markets. In Sd there is no problem, the problem is in HD.
What is the best way to do it in terms of overall quality image?
    Thanks

Try Compressor. Frame rate set to 23.976

Everything set to best, motion compensation should be experimented with as sometimes “best” doesn’t look the best or most natural.

Try a section that is particularly full of motion.

Your mileage may vary. You could also try converting to 60i if you’re footage is originally interlaced.

Yes, it is 50i, should I expect better results on 60i?, at least it is a more moderate change…
    Thanks

It is wholly dependent on your footage. Test test test!

Use shorter sections if need be for testing.
