1080i24p to 720p
If I recorded in 1080i24p and then digitize in 720p, will there be any problems or loss of information? Thanks!

Problems? No. Loss of information? Yes. Because you are taking a 1920×1080 image and making it 1280×720…just about half the size. It will look great, but if you try to go back up to 1080p out of the 720 then it will not look so good.

Of course, if you’re starting with a JVC HD-110, as your cross-post on the JVC forum says (cross-posting is a list no-no BTW), you’re starting with a 720 image, even if you still don’t believe me. 🙂 Somebody tell him! He’s saying he shot 1080i with an HD-110.
