    Hello All-

So we just updated our intel Mac with a Kona 3 board/break-out box to work on a HD project- and this is our first time in HD. We are using Pro-max satamax 2.5 TB raids.

We have a D5 tape (1080i 59.94) running out a D5 deck into our Kona 3, however, I have been using the FCP Easy Setup template, Uncompressed 10bit 1080i 29.97, as there is no uncompressed 10bit 1080i 59.94 setting.

If I am capturing 1080i 59.94 footage into an uncompressed 29.97 capture template, should I set my sequence presets to edit in a 29.97 timebase? Ultimately, we’d like to export in 1080i 60 that will be streamed off a focus enhancement server to play on a LCD tv, so I am wondering if I have the correct workflow captuing in 29.97 instead of 59.94, when ultimately, we need to output 1080i 60

Also, why is there no easy set up option for uncompressed 1080i 59.94? What’s the difference?

    Any help is appreciated

It’s all exactly the same…. when they say 59.97 that’s fields, when they say 29.97 that’s frames.
