    Hello

I have a sequence in FCP which is 1080i 23.98 10-bit uncompressed with a square pixel aspect ratio and I am being asked to lay this off ltrbxed obviously to an digibeta NTSC SD. I have Blackmagic HD Extreme card and I am aware of the downconvert option but i believe i have only used this for sequences that were 29.97.

I am curious as to what my options are for best results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You

    Lisa

The card should also add the needed pulldown. I have a AJA Kona card but the settings should be the same. In FCP output settings should be 1080 29.97 with the card’s downconvert set to 525 29.97 Letterbox. This adds the extra fields/frames to get the frame rate to 29.97 and down converts. When printing to tape the result should also be viewed with a CRT TV to make sure there are no field order issues.
