1080 – Progressive Vs. Interlaced?
Posted by Pierre on May 11, 2005 at 6:50 pmCan anyone shed some light over here.
I’ve read that the HVX-P2 camera will shoot 1080 progressive at 24 frames per second… is this true? Or is it INTERLACED?
Panasonic has advertised it both ways…. (only 1080i or only 1080p). Which is it? or both?thanks.

May 11, 2005 at 6:56 pmBoth! That’s one of the amazing things about this camera. It will do 1080p and 1080i (and 720p) and 480p and 480i.

May 13, 2005 at 12:32 pmEh? 1080p24, 1080p30, 1080i60 are the 1080 frame rates supported.
“1080/60i, 1080/24p, 1080/30p, 720/60p, 720/24p, 720/30p, 480/60i, 480/24p, 480/30p” is directly from the Panasonic web site: https://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?displayTab=O&storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&itemId=93120&catGroupId=15768&modelNo=AG-HVX200&surfModel=AG-HVX200

May 13, 2005 at 9:39 pmMegan is great!
1080p24 is also 1280×1080 as it’s embedded in 1080i60 with 3:2 pulldown.
