1080 p camera under $6000??
Posted by Clint Nitkiewicz hernandez on December 17, 2006 at 8:59 pmDo any panasonic cameras under $6000 offer 1080p? If not, what is the cheapest camera that would give me 1080p, not 1080i? I have been searching forever.

December 17, 2006 at 9:15 pmThey make an HVX-200 that can shoot in 1080p30.
It now comes with an 8-gig card and can be found for around $5300.

December 18, 2006 at 4:32 pmBut is the HVX200 providing a full 1080? How does the camcorder get from the native 720p to 1080i?

December 18, 2006 at 4:47 pmIt scans everything into a 1920×1080 matrix, all processing is done internally at 1920×1080, and then it downconverts to whatever the recording format is.
