1080 24p
Posted by Goldenhorse on April 30, 2006 at 11:09 pmCome fall I will be shooting something for output to film with the Sony XDCAM or the Panasonic P2, but FCP doesn’t seem to support 1080 24p. Were there any announcements on this subject at NAB?

May 1, 2006 at 12:18 amI have been editing some tests with DVCPRO HD.
FCP 5.1 does have a DVCPRO HD 1080 24p sequence.
It seems to work.Mike Schrengohst

May 1, 2006 at 1:24 amFCP does support that format…you just need a capture card for it. The Kona 3 (maybe Kona 2) has a 1080p24 setting.

I will be posting some 1080 24p, 1080 30p and 720p test clips in DVCPRO HD and PhotoJPEG formats from our website in the coming weeks.Mike Schrengohst

How are you going to monitor your output?
If you are going to work in HD, you need to work with the right components. Capture card, HD monitor, etc.Steve Eisen
