1050×576 DV PAL widescreen. Why not 1024×576?
Posted by Thomas Hannen on November 25, 2011 at 3:43 pmHi all,
Any idea why After Effects defaults to 1050×576 as a comp size for for “DV PAL widescreen square pixel”, when most editors (Premiere, FCP etc) default to 1024×576?
Thanks!

November 25, 2011 at 4:28 pmIt sounds like a bug in After Effects. 1050×576 is not a 16:9 aspect ratio with square pixels.
Brad Wright is software engineer, so it may be difficult to understand what he is saying. He is always happy to explain his greater detail.
