10.5 vs 11 Performance
Hey gang-
I was curious if anyone could tell me how much of a boost (if any) they have received in render speeds by upgrading to C4D v11. I am currently running 10.5 on a MacPro 3.0GHz 8core with 11GB of RAM. I use Vray for almost all of my renders.If anyone with similar setup (particularly the Vray render engine) has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. I believe I am in line for an upgrade, I just want to know what to expect.

I don’t think you’ll see any speed up of your VRay renders, but AR is considerably faster, and better looking, in r11 than it was in r10+. Non-GI renders are generally 10-20% faster. GI rendering is much much faster.
