10.3.9/QT7 weirdness
Installed 10.3.9 and QT7.01 on one of my systems (FCP 4.5, G4 1.25 GHz, 1 gig) and FCP no longer recognizes any of my cameras (DVX 100, DVC30 & PD100). The cameras do appear in the system profiler. Tried repairing permissions and trashing prefs. Any other ideas would be welcomed. Thanks.

The solution – unbeleivable as this may sound – turned out to be a QT 6.52 reinstaller I found on Apple’s site. It only works w/ 10.3.9 and only removes QT 7.01 and reinstalls QT 6.52 (giving no indication why this might be necessary). I ran this and then virtually nothing video-wise worked. In desperation I reinstalled QT 7.01 and now everything works just as it should. If anyone knows why this is please…don’t tell me.
