I am working on a project at 1024×768; Hah! Mostly giving motion to hires photos. What is the best way to output it without any degradation in picture or text? Everything I’ve tried gives blocky text (FCP text) and yukky pictures. Eventually it needs to be output as a wmf and the image and text must be sharper than a knife. what to do? How do I get it out of FCP and looking good by tomarrow? help!!!!!!

You have already said your output must be WMF.

If you want to output QuickTime files then convert to WMF, use Apple Animation or Apple None.

You can then use CompressionMaster makes very nice WMFs from QuickTime files.

Flip4Mac from TeleStream will allow you to export WMF directly from FinaCut.

You choose the amount of compression for the final output.

Higher Compresion = Smaller files, Lower Quality

Thanx for the suggestion fred. i still can’t get a good quicktime. Maybe it’s my timeline settings? Should it be set to uncompressed? or…..

Change your sequence settings to Anmation (and why not set it to square pixel while there) and then export. Use “Export->Quicktime Movie”. Do NOT use “Using Quicktime conversion”.

Sorenson 3 (the full version) is usually the best codec for sharp graphics. But WMV 9 will playback easier on a PC.
