OK this seems silly to ask but I can’t seem to figure this out. It SHOULD be sooo simple! And it was simple back in the day. Premiere used to be very intuitive. Now it’s not. And it’s giving me FITS.
I have imported all my media, made my edits, tweaked the sound, etc and I’m finished with the “project”. Now I just want Premiere to make my movie!!
It seems like the only thing I can do to accomplish this is:
    Click FILE –> EXPORT –>MEDIA…
I get the “Export Settings” dialog box which I have set for Quicktime and MPEG-4 Video. Then I click “OK” and Media Encoder opens. The project shows up in the queue. I click “Start Queue” and nothing seems to happen and I can’t find my movie anywhere.

    What am I doing wrong???

I can assure you I’ve scoured all the help files I could find. And found this forum on a search for tips that may help me resolve this basic problem. I just can’t find anything.
I can officially say. CS4 Premiere SUCKS!

    I’m sorry for your frustration.

When trying to export your timeline, is the Sequence selected in the project panel?

If it isn’t, it would explain why nothing is exporting.

Selected? OK, I tried that. No difference. But thanks for the response. I do appreciate it.

I gotta say, having to select anything to export it kinda dumb. WTF else would I be exporting other than my movie???

    Adobe, consider yourselves bitchslapped.

There’s a simple command, you can put it right under the FILE menu… “Make Movie” or if you want “Render Movie”. Either will do.

I started using Premiere in 1993. It has gotten worse with every upgrade. BLAH! YOU SUCK!!

Could you post a screencap of your screen when you go to File/Export/Media? It could be any number of things, including the source range being improperly selected (I speak from experience).
