Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro 10.1 dashboard issue…

I have had a few random stalls and the problem is showing up in the dashboard. With the play head parked, the circular percent icon to the left (the one that tells you about background and render activity) starts to look like an animated gif, it kinda flashes green when nothing is really happening and then I the system freezes and I either have to force quit or wait, more often force quitting.

    Anyone else seeing/experiencing this?

When you click the icon, what is happening?

Do you have the Audio analysis tab open in the inspector?

Clicking the icon or anywhere produces no response. (like it’s thinking in pre crash mode)

Nope, do not have audio analysis tab open.

Its a weird one. I also had an issue today where opening a library was causing a total FCP X crash with reopen message. I narrowed this down to the fact I had created a FOLDER in the Projects portion of the Library. The Folder would not allow me to add anything to it, but it was creating havoc, finally able to delete the folder and the problem vanished. Very weird.

Apple got about ten crash logs on that one. 🙂
