Chyron LIVE Unveils New Features: Haivision StreamHub Integration, SCTE-35 Ad Insertion, and Refined Switching Tools

Updates to Chyron LIVE Streamline Remote Contribution and Unlock Monetization for Cloud-Native Live Production

Chyron today announced the latest updates to Chyron LIVE. Its 100% cloud-native live production platform. The release adds direct integration with Haivision StreamHub for managing remote video contributions, SCTE-35 ad insertion to monetize live streams, and a set of switcher, shortcut, and replay improvements designed to give operators tighter control during live broadcasts.

As more productions move out of the truck and into the cloud, Chyron continues to expand Chyron LIVE around two needs that every producer shares: getting reliable video from the field and turning a live audience into revenue. Recent releases of LIVE 1.14 and 1.15 address both, while also refining the core switching and replay tools operators rely on for every show.

LIVE 1.15 introduces direct integration with Haivision StreamHub, allowing users to connect their StreamHub account and manage video inputs without leaving the Chyron LIVE interface. The integration is designed to bridge the gap between field crews and the studio, particularly when paired with mobile contribution tools like Haivision’s MoJoPro app.

“Because LIVE operates as a 100% cloud-native workflow, integrating Haivision StreamHub seamlessly bridges the gap between the field and the studio,” said Kristy Weir, product manager, Chyron LIVE. “Users get a single, streamlined hub to ingest, manage, and distribute video from anywhere. Plus, when paired with the MoJoPro app, adding remote contributors is effortless, completely eliminating the friction of remote broadcasts.”

The recent release of LIVE 1.14 added a broader set of monetization and workflow improvements. New SCTE-35 ad insertion gives producers the ability to trigger and manage commercial breaks directly inside a live broadcast, with configurable pre-roll, slate, and lead-out segments and built-in verification reporting to confirm ad delivery to advertisers. The release also adds a standard Black source to the switcher for clean cuts and dissolves to black, new keyboard shortcuts for sending sources directly to preview or program, and the ability to clear individual or all clip slots in the replay module so operators always work with current content. A transition fallback improvement now defaults to a cut if a selected transition file is unavailable on a given environment, keeping switching reliable even when custom transition assets are missing. LIVE also ships with PRIME 5.3 and Prime Engine 2317 under the hood.

These improvements to LIVE reflect our continued commitment to evolving and enhancing the platform in ways that deliver real value for our users,” said Nikole McStanley, senior vice president of product, Chyron LIVE. “Each new release is focused on making live production simpler, more flexible, and more resilient, whether that’s bringing remote contributors into a broadcast, helping teams stay on air when the unexpected happens, or providing new opportunities to engage and monetize audiences. We’re continuing to build a platform that empowers any team to produce high-quality live content from anywhere, with the confidence and tools they need to succeed.”
