Beeble expands AI production workflow ahead of NAB 2026 with background remover
Ahead of its upcoming participation at NAB Show 2026, Beeble today announced the launch of Background Remover, a new AI-powered rotoscoping tool designed to deliver clean, detailed alpha mattes in seconds. Available now on the Beeble Web App, the tool enables creators to isolate subjects from complex footage with speed, precision, and full creative control.
Following the recent launch of SwitchX and the introduction of Background Remover, and building on its recognition as a Webby Award nominee, Beeble is demonstrating how these technologies can move beyond individual capabilities into a cohesive, production-ready pipeline.

From capability to workflow
Background Remover is designed to address one of the most time-intensive tasks in post-production: rotoscoping. Using advanced AI models, the tool automatically generates high-quality foreground masks from video, images, or image sequences—handling complex motion, occlusion, and fine detail such as hair and motion blur.
Users can process up to 20 video or image files at once, or work with image sequences of up to 2,000 frames. A preview frame is generated instantly, allowing results to be assessed before committing to full processing. For more complex shots, an interactive masking interface enables precise subject selection, giving users control over exactly what remains in frame.
Designed for production pipelines
Background Remover supports a range of export formats designed for seamless integration into post-production environments. These include 10-bit RGBA video files with embedded alpha channels, RGBA PNG sequences for frame-by-frame compositing, and alpha-only outputs in both video and image sequence formats.
The flexibility of these outputs ensures compatibility with industry-standard tools, allowing assets to move directly into editing, compositing, and finishing workflows.
Background Remover is now available exclusively on the Beeble Web App.
