New Computer & Vegas 9 HD Dont Get Along
I am really hoping to get to the bottom of this. So I just put together a computer specifically built for editing in HD. I installed an 80GB solid state hard drive, a 1.5 TB internal storage drive, 12 GB RAM, an ASUS P6X58D motherboard with an Intel quadCore i7-930 processor, and an NvidiaQuadro FX 1800 graphics card. Should have all the makings, right? Well, for a few minutes at a time, it will display the awesome process power it should possess, playing smooth HD video off the timeline w/o rendering anything. But this only lasts a few minutes, as the first key I hit to stop playback, whether its spacebar or just a mouse click, Vegas locks up, and goes into non-responsive mode. I have run a memtest on all my memory, and everything has passed. I am running the 64bit version on 64bit Windows 7 Pro, but had noticed this same problem when i was running the 32bit vegas. I have not noticed any problems while editing an SD project to this point.
PLEASE! HELP!
thank you all
