Disk Management for Video Capture
Hi, I’m needing some rather basic help here.
I am trying to capture video (from a Sony Camcorder via a USB connection) within Vegas Pro 8.0
Having experienced repeated messages telling me that the folder into which the clips were being saved had run out of disk space, I then turned to the help documentation for assistance. To start with, I didn’t realise that it was a good idea to capture all video clips to a different drive than the one hosting my Windows system, so I rectified this by connecting an external hard drive with 4 terrabytes of space (I don’t think I’ll ever use all of this!). However, having created new folders (including overflow ones), the disk management information is telling me that these empty folders are already 83% full and that there’s only about 9 minutes of video capture time left.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what I need to do to get things configured correctly? I’m doing research for a Masters, and need desperately to get all the videos transferred to the computer before I have to video some more tomorrow!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Verity
