    Hello..
I’ve been unable to import video files that i’ve downloaded from the internet, they are .avi format
clips that I record on my computer, in .avi work fine
Grazie suggested i find out whats within the wrapper, here’s what I found using the gspot

the one on the left is the file that i’ve recorded, that works in vegas. on the right, a downloaded clip that doesn’t work
when I drag the downloaded clips in there’s the crossed out circle, with no explanation.
Not sure what to do haha, it says i have the codec required

What version of Vegas are you using? If it’s one of the 64-bit versions of Vegas Pro then that’s your problem. The Techsmith codec that your video uses doesn’t support 64-bits. You’ll have to use the 32-bit version of Vegas instead.
