  Sony Vegas MS keeps crashing

  I have a problem with my Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 in that it keeps crashing. All the time. Sometimes all I do is scroll or click and it either simply says that Sony Vegas is not responding, or it comes up with an error message. I’ve recently bought a new computer, running Windows 7. Vegas never crashed on my old computer (which was really old and riddled with viruses), yet crashes continuosly on my new one. My virus protection software is up to date and working. I just can’t seem to figure out the problem.

  Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

  My virus protection software is up to date and working. I just can’t seem to figure out the problem.

  You just answered it.
  Virus protection and video go together like peanut butter and tomato sandwiches.

  Disable virus protection while working with video. Chances are high this will fix your issue.
