  Vegas 32 vs 64 bit version & Mercalli

  I have Vegas 9 64 bit installed. I see that the Mercalli plug in will only work with the 32 bit version. Does anyone know if Mercalli intend to release a 64 bit compatible version? I’m aware that it should be possible to install both the 32 & 64 bit of Vegas on the same machine although I’m not certain just how this is done.

  Is it worth installing the 32 bit & try to keep the 64 bit version as well or should I just keep the 32 bit version on my PC. Is there much difference between the speed etc of the 32 as compared to the 64 bit version?

  I have personally uninstalled my 64 bit version, because so many of my plugins do not work in it…. I see no benefit of having both of them and sometimes the 64 bit version randomly opens instead of 32bit.

  You can have both installed and you just install the second version like you normally would. The only issue is that the last version installed is what gets associated with the .veg extension so you should install he version that you will use the most, last.
