  Pink video in timeline

  I downloaded some videos of a concert of youtube using a bookmarklet in .mp4 format. when I add them to the timeline in sony vegas 9.0c, some pink crap appears over all the videos. Also when I play the videos in VLC player, it appears normal.

  What happens when you convert the mp4 files to a format Vegas likes more? I expect that that will solve the problem.

  What free converter can I use, I really want to lose minimal amounts of video quality. I dont care about the sound though I have other sources for the sound.
