After Effects render queue
Hi,
I’ve been having a problem with After Effects CS3 now for a while. Although the program is running great, the moment I add a composition to the Render Queue I get a problem. When the composition is added to the render queue and I press ‘render’, nothing happens and the status goes back to ‘unqueued’.
It happens everytime I try to output a render file.
Can anyone help with this issue?

Did you make sure you specified an output module and where it outputs to?
If you didn’t manually specify those, particularly the output location, then it could have problems rendering.

Hi Jon,
Yes I did specify the output module and the output location. Still it won’t render and the render status goes back to unqueued.
When I output the render via ‘File-Export’ it works, but soon as I try to output it in the Render Queue it doesn’t work.
Hope you can give me further advice.

Maybe its having some kind of error.
Can you check the error log? It usually creates a folder in the location of your project file with an error log.
Does it give you any info in the render queue after you try and render?
Are you able to hit render again after the failed attempt without bringing it back into the queue?

Hello Jon,
Sorry for responding so late, but I wanted to reinstall AE first. Now I’ve done that, but it still won’t render.
There is no info in the error log, neither does it give any info in the render queue. I can’t hit render again, unless I enable the render option: then the status goes back to queued. As soon as I press render, the status goes back to unqueued again.
I have absolutely no idea what’s wrong. Could it be a problem with the RAM settings?
