  4×3 footage with letterbox for 16×9 effect

  Hi….I’ve shot footage with a 4×3 camera which has 16×9 viewfinder markings so I shot to 16×9 framing.
  I can see in Vegas 9 how to get a letterbox [Black top and bottom] by going to Event Pan/Crop but how do I do that for all shots which are on several layers?…Thx

  BTW, forgot – the DVD will be viewed on a 4×3 laptop but I think it will look nicer with a 16×9 look including the black top n bottom.

  If you are just going for the “look” and don’t want real 16:9 then make a black bar overlay in Photoshop, or use the Generated Media Gradient FX to make one. Just add it to a new track at the top of your 4:3 project.
