  LCD – Pushing on an LCD effect?

  Hello All,

  Can anyone help me with….

  I would like to make an animation that looks like someone is pushing on an LCD screen. Any tutorials out there?

  I would start with this:

  on a white background create dark spots that represent the pressure, add some turbulence maybe,
  then solarize the result (create a Curves with a curve that goes up, then down again like a bell curve)
  add some noise and Tint the result to be LCD-BG grey to dark GREY
  the key will be in animating the blob

  don’t they also make a mosaic effect when you press them? Try AE’s mosaic filter, displacement map, and mesh warp. Lemme go smash my hand into my 50″ HD LCD and I’ll get back to you what it looks like.
