Vegas 8, 1080i HD to Architect to Blu-Ray
How do I render 1440x1080i in Vegas 8 to Architect 4.5 then burn to BD-R (keeping the projects original properties)?

Use the MPEG2 render template: Blu-ray 1440×1080-60i, 25 Mbps video stream and then render the audio as Dolby Digital AC3. You didn’t say if you were NTSC or PAL. Use 50i if you’re in a PAL country.

That’s exactly what I did using NTSC format. But the problem is Architect compresses down to 720×480 and I lose 1080i HD (original project spec)

Does DVD Architect 4.5 have a Blu-ray project setting? I forget, I’m using DVD Architect 5.0. If not, then you need to upgrade to get Blu-ray authoring or you’ll have to buy another package for Blu-ray authoring.

I’m trying to think back… and if I remember correctly 4.5 does NOT support Blu ray

Hi John,
I have both FCP 6 on a quad G5 and Vegas and DVD architect.
My program is full HDcam 8 bit uncompressed on FCP.
I am trying to figure out how to render it to a codec that Vegas or DVDA can work with to burn a Blu-Ray disc.
Some quicktime settings wont even show my video in Vegas.
Others do but are huge files…
I tried to use the HD DVD setting in compressor and it ended up
giving me an error when I got it to DVDA.
I have been taking most attempts into vegas first and rendering as a Blu-Ray mpeg2 Then bringing into DVDA.
So far either they dont work or the quality is artifacty.What would you suggest?
