I just edited and rendered some video I put on the end of an already rendered slideshow with Vegas 9 pro. The results were disappointing as the video was very jerky. All of the clips I added were a lot smoother than the rendered result. What did I do wrong or need to change? I appreciate the help.

If you could provide a bit more info about the media files and the project settings that would help.

The settings are NTSC DV 720×480 29.97 fps
    09091 pix asp ratio
    8 bit
    good
    Gaussian blur
    no deinterlace.

The media for the slides are jpegs with the video being .mpg files.
The jpegs were rendered as an .avi with Vegas 3. I think I see a problem…?

I am putting the clips to DVD

Vegas 3? Why not bring the slides directly into the time line? Be sure that the jpegs are sized appropriately for video. Vegas is not the best way to resize photos. Also, a setting of “Best” for a render may resolve some of your issue.

I did the photo edit with all the transitions and effects with Sonic Foundry Vegas 3 awhile ago. It was finished looks good. I had video clips from the same camera that I wanted at the end so I used a newly acquired Vegas 9 pro program. The photo clip is not jerky. It is the video clips that I added. Not very seemless at all.

There are a ton of photos. What would be the best way to re-size them?
