Can files saved in .doc format, say maps etc., not be imported to a timeline above the video?
thanks

December 10, 2009 at 7:57 pmSorry but no.
They must be converted to some type of image file.
What I’ve done with Word documents in the past is to save them out as a PDF, import this into Photoshop and then save them out in PNG format. -

Could I scan them, save as .jpg’s and import to vegas that way?

December 11, 2009 at 2:32 amI’ve tried scanning a document before and wasn’t very happy with the results.
That’s why my suggestion to convert it to a PDF and then an image file.
If you don’t have a copy of MS Word around, Open Office can do this.
If you don’t have Photoshop, Gimp can do the PDF to image file conversion.
Both these apps are open source (i.e. free).
