  can you export your render setting’s

  hi there all

  our company has a variety of job’s.
  some time’s we make content our selfs.
  but most of the times we are the one’s getting the content.
  from 1 party of the production and then supplying it to other
  people in the production process
  to ease life of our client’s (and our self’s) i want to
  supply our client’s with render setting’s which match
  our equipment of coarse i can supply a text file summming up
  al the do’s and don’t but these are often hard to read.
  next to that we have client’s with different competents.
  some are highend post production facilities which will understand everything. some are company’s having no clue about the technical stuff.
  my question is there a way to export the rendersetting’s of AE to get
  thing’s done without the question marks

  You can save and reuse render settings templates and output module settings templates.

  The changes are stored in your preferences file, which is the Adobe After Effects 9.0 Prefs.txt file at one of the following locations (for CS4):

  (Windows XP)
  C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\9.0

  (Mac OS)
  [user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects/9.0

  You can copy this file from one computer or account to another, but—as Dave said—beware of overwriting all of the preferences by doing this.
