Trying to output video at 1080p in sony vegas platinum 9…
And it doesnt seem to be working properly, the image is shrunk slightly vertically to make place for 2 unwanted black bars that I can’t get rid of no matter what I try.
The entire project is set up at 1920×1080 pixels including the video I am trying to output, and i’m having no luck getting rid of these two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Could anyone please help me?

You’re seeing the bars on the top and bottom of *which* screen? Preview, NTSC TV, HD Plasma, PC Monitor? What is the PAR of the output device?

No no, the actual exported video has them, squashing the image vertically slightly. I really don’t understand why because the input footage is 1920×1080 and so are the export settings.

That’s not what I asked. The likely problem is that the viewing device is not precisely 16:9 and adds the bars to accommodate your video. Sounds perfectly normal to me.

I’m actually using the trial version. And sorry I do not know what you mean when you say “viewing device”, I’ve never really done much actual editing of videos!
The only information i think i could give you is that they are raw avi files size 1920×1080 from stop motion pro with no black bars at the top or the bottom.
