  DV 16:9 Project to DV tape in 16:9?

  I shot a project on my Sony Z7 in DV 16:9 for my client. Now I need to output this project back to DV tape in 16:9. Vegas is not getting me there. My Sony M35U deck is set for DV input, but Vegas is telling me “Device not available”. I have no problem taking HDV to HDV tape on the same deck. What am I doing wrong?

  Be sure you’re using the DV print to tape device and not the HDV print to tape too. They’re different.

  Additionally, make sure you’ve got the deck set to receive in DV, not AUTO mode. It’ll throw Vegas.
