    Hey Guys!

I have a Sony HDR-FX7(it records 16:9) camera and when i import my videos to sony vegas it seems to be “letterbox(with the black bars on top and bottom)”. But when I burn it to a DVD and watch it in my TV it appears to be filling up the whole screen. It’s not letterboxed just like in the preview screen on vegas. How do I fix this problem? Should I do something about the rendering properties or the project properties? Or even though it appears to be letterboxed on vegas should i still put black bars on it?
    HELP!

    Thanks!

You should set your project to widescreen so that there is no letterboxing. Use the HDV 1080-60i (1440×1080, 29.970 fps) project settings for the FX7 and render to MPEG2 using the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream template and Dolby Digital AC3 audio template everything should stay widescreen without any letterboxing.
