Rendered in sony vegas 1st is wav and 2nd is mpeg at 8000bits as you recommended. I make sure they both have the same title.

I delete any earlier copies I have tried.

I check there is no other copy in sony architect

When I try to copy paste into sony architect it makes two copies and shows up two buttons and text.

I render with no markers but I designate the area I want rendered and I tick box that says render loop region only
    Help
    Thank you

What most people do is render the video in Vegas as MPEG2 and render the audio also in Vegas as AC3 (not WAV) as a separate file. In DVDA you just import the MPEG2 file and the AC3 file will follow automaticly (if you had given it the same name and stored it in the same folder).

I need the highest quality music that is why I render to wav rather than ac3.
How can I get sony architect to only show one button when I add wav and mpeg 2?
    Thank you

    add the mpeg2 only

then change the media properties (top right) for the audio, to the wav you have rendered
