  Audio missing

  I have just captured some hdv via FireWire from my Z1 (as I have for months). I am using Vegas 9. I captured all 6 tapes and have noticed that on one tape about 10 mins in I have lost both audio channels. The audio is there on the tape but didn’t capture. I am sure that I can re capture it, but wonder what went wrong so I can prevent it in the future. Martin

  Ghost in the machine? Seriously, unless it’s reproducible, it’s anyone’s guess what wet wrong. I have seen the Vegas HDV capture utility split a continuous scene on me and loose frames when I know there are no dropped frames on the tape. I just go back and recapture. These things just happen; probably due to a bug somewhere in the code but it’s hard to find if you can’t reproduce it faithfully.
