Renderfail
Hi, I need some help.
Whenever I try rendering my video, it renders very fast, and when I re-view the newly rendered file, it’s just a black screen of like less than a second.
Is there any way I could fix this?
The preview in Sony Vegas is just normal, though.Thanks in advance,

I’d be looking at my:
A] Project Settings
B] My Media that I placed on the timeline
C] What template I was rendering to.
D] What I was previewing the final rendered piece on.
As some supporting historical evidence of what has worked for you in the past, can you say from WHAT (media) have you rendered from and to WHAT (render template) have you successfully rendered to?
Apart from you not having enough render space on your hard drive/s I’m betting it’s a CODEC issue.

Did the accidently check the RENDER LOOP REGION ONLY?

I already figured it out. It seems I had to select all [ctrl]+[a] of my video and THEN render it. So, sorry to bother u guys. ^^

Normally you don’t have to select all the video on the timeline to be able to render the whole timeline. But like I mentioned before, make sure that you do NOT activate the RENDER LOOP REGION ONLY option.

Can you please say more?
I was taught to use the markers to select the whole video, and then to check ‘render loop region only.’
If I render the whole video, is that procedure unnecessary? If I understand you correctly, I would not move my markers, and I would make sure that ‘render loop region only’ is not checked?

Hi Norman,
From now on you can save yourself some extra time, because when you want to render your whole project, there is no need to select or mark any part of the video. Just make sure that the RENDER LOOP REGION ONLY option is NOT selected and the whole project will be rendered. When you don’t have a selection on the timeline, this option is even greyed-out.
Only if you would like to render just a part of the project, you can drag a loop-region around the region of interest and activate the RENDER LOOP REGION ONLY option.
