  How do I get text in a video without going overtop of the previosu video in Vegas 8.0?

  Although the subject may sound confusing, basically what I’m trying to do is put text in a video I’ve already made. However, I DON’T want that text to erase the video I already have. I want the text to be there, but have the video I already have playing behind it and completely visible. Is there anyway that I can do this?

  Did you try adding a Generated Media Text event on the track above the video? The default text event has a transparent background so that the text is superimposed above the video.
