  Black Frames — don’t think it’s a dropout

  I have some HDV 720p footage that is giving me some headaches in Vegas Pro 9. Some footage has developed black frames, one or two at a time, that appear in the middle of some footage. The problem is consistent, which makes me think it’s not hardware. The audio doesn’t drop out, but consistently, the frames drop out, even going frame-by-frame. I’ve tried replacing the footage with itself, and putting the footage in a new project. I suspect the footage isn’t compromised, though, because it plays fine in other players, just not in Vegas.

  Ideas?
