Surround packages/effects for multi-channel audio?
Hi! I’m authoring BluRay movies and currently i do all the audio mastering (in this case i mean finalizing of the content of the audio tracks) with stereo/mono effects. I have a lot of great compressors/equializers and similar for my DSP cards from TC Electronics and Universal Audio, but i have no surround (5.1) effects except the very few that came with Vegas Pro 9. Does anyone know of any good VST packages for surround sound (5.1) or any other kind of add-on/package that will give me more surround audio processing tools for Vegas? I’m particularly interested in those made for mastering, but i’m interested in things like 5.1 reverbs and delays and the likes as well.

Have you looked at Wave Hammer Surround that comes with Vegas Pro? It is a good mastering compressor/limiter/volume maximizer that is 5.1 Surround aware.

I just want to clarify my question, i’m asking about plugins other than those included with Vegas Pro.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of native packages available for surround effects actually. I was looking at the TC System 6000 Mastering package, but then i’d have to route all the channels through it. I’d rather stick to plug-ins, whether they’re on DSP cards or just software.
I might stick to the hardware i already have. I don’t necessarily need a 5.1 mastering compressor, i think i can process in stereo for the front and back channels, and mono for the center and sub channels. The movie companies do want to maintain the dynamic range anyway – they’re not looking for a brickwall effect. But i’m at least curious about what other plug-in packages are available.
