    Hi guys,

I’m doing a project with Vegas 7 that uses split screens with different footage playing in each box.

I already know how to create split screens using the Event Pan/Crop tool to shrink the footage to a box of any size on the screen.

What I *don’t* know how to do is to make this box show only a portion of the footage within it, in other words, to zoom or otherwise crop the image WHILE having it play within a box on the split screen.

I know how to accomplish both of these goals independently with the Event Pan/Crop, but not how to do them simultaneously.

Can this be done in Vegas 7? If possible I would like to do this without masking.

Thanks in advance for your help, this forum has been a continued help to me throughout my years of using Vegas.

I would use track motion to set up the split screen and then event pan/crop to do the zooming.

Thanks Terry, I wasn’t aware of the Track Motion ability. This clearly will work for what I want to do. Time to get to work!

Jay, your suggestion would work too. I just think Track Motion will give me more on-the-fly ability to edit the complex sequence I want to do without constantly re-rendering.
