  Stretch slow motion problem

  What am I doing wrong? I have a 10 second HD MOV clip that I have converted to a standard windows avi file. I have trimmed the end portion of the clip off. The remaining 5 second clip I wish to stretch to play for 10 seconds. I just did a control drag to stretch the clip to the desired length. The clip plays OK in the preview but when I render the clip out I have 10 seconds of audio & only 5 of video plus 5 seconds of just blank. I have tried using a velocity envelope set to 50% but am still unable to get the desired result . What did I do wrong?

  you can right click the clip, go into properties, then adjust your playback speed to 500, thats twice as slow, now you can stretch your clip double that size, velocity should work the same way, set speed to 50% make clip twice as long. enjoy

  Thanks for that information. It’s working OK now. I’m still puzzled as to what was happening that before the clip could preview correctly yet be wrong when rendered out.
