Capture without camera
I’m trying to capture a mini dv tape for Vegas Studio 9, but I don’t have a camera to input it in the usual way. I’m told there is a deck or other hardware device that will hold the tape and input it.
Anybody know what such a device might be called? -

A deck (i.e. VCR) is your only other option for capturing from tape.
The drawback is that they tend to be expensive (more than your camcorder is worth!!). -

So this gives me an excuse to buy a new camcorder to replace the Canon HV 30 that got stolen.
