Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Rendering at 4fps with sony vegas?

    Well, I don’t know if it’s normal but If I render a 720p video using virtualDub with divx it goes at 40fps. In sony vegas rendering the same video and with the same video settings, 4-5fps. There aren’t any fx something like that. The source video is an uncompressed .avi 1280×720.

    My pc is an intel i7 920 @ 3.6GHz with 6GB DDr3 and GTX295. I have Pc enough i know.

    Is it normal?

    Yes, it is normal for different programs to render seemingly the same video at different speeds. VirutalDub may be doing a lot less processing than Vegas is since Vegas is a full fledged video editor and VirtualDub is more of just a processor so it is tuned for this.
