Sony Vegas problem
Hi everyone. I have a problem with the preview in Sony vegas 8 and 9 Platinum. When i open a movie to edit and drag it to the timeline, i want to play it, but it doesn’t play properly in the preview window. I mean, i see one frame in second 15, then another one in second 23…It doesn’t play normally (i don’t know how to explain better in english) and i have a computer good for vegas i think… I have AMD Athlon 1200+, 2.00 GHz, 1GB DDR1. I have friends with computers like mine and it works at them…I think i must set up something or what?
Please give me an answer. Thanks! -

WEll it’s not the best PC.
Try changing the preview view to the lowest at 1/4.

On top of the preview window, you can select for DRAFT, PREVIEW, GOOD or BEST. Each is followed by a choise for AUTO, FULL, HALF or QUARTER. You can’t miss this…

What kind of files do you have on the timeline? Which effects did you apply?

.wmw file, none effect

That may explayn the poor preview on your computer.

what do you mean by that?

I mean that .wmv files are compressed files that don’t play very smooth in Vegas on suboptimal systems. This file-type is anyhow not very suitable for editing.
