  • Crop causes incorrect interlaced output

Anyone encountered this issue before in Vegas (both 8 and 9):

    – New AVCHD project with deinterlace set to none and field order upper
    – Add an AVHCD clip and crop from 1920×1080 to 1280×720 (centered)
    – Output to uncompressed YUV and (default) field order upper

Now when I re-compress and deinterlace that file I get deinterlace issues in the progressive file: I see lines as if it’s not deinterlaced. One theory perhaps is that the processing order is incorrect: it crops the interlaced picture first and then outputs that interlaced. But it should first deinterlace, crop and then output interlaced.

Actually I found it only repro’s if I have a clip before and after that. If I just render that single cropped clip everything is fine. Weird.
