  Rendering Video File from Sony Vegas 8- Video in bits, not whole!

  Hi Everyone,
  I have a problem and I hope someone on here can help me.

  Ive finished editing a performance that I filmed, and I’ve gone to render the video. I’ve adjusted the setting according to how I like it, (like I’ve done many times before). It renders fine, however when i come to view the files in a folder, its divided each half of the whole video into three separate files. I’ve checked the file sizes and they are maxing out a 3.99Gb. I understand that i may have to render each half as a smaller file in order to keep it as two whole files.

  How do i do this without losing the overall quality when i burn it onto DVD?

  It sounds like you are rendering to a drive that is formatted as FAT32 which has a file size limit of 4GB. You need to convert that drive to NTFS or render to an NTFS drive to get one big file at the same quality.
