When you play music in Windows Media Player you can choose visualizations that will move automatically to the beat of the music. Does Sony Vegas Pro 9 have something similiar?

No. If you need this, just capture your PC screen while using WMP with a screen recorder program.

    Hi John,

OK I can stop searching for it inside of Vegas.

I have Media Catcher but it only captures video with a URL I think – anyway it won’t capture the Windows Media Player visualizations.

Can you recommend a screen recorder application that you know will do what your suggesting?

    Many thanks,

I use TechSmith Camtasia and it does a great job but it’s not free. TechSmuth also has a free recorder called Jing that is very nice. There is an open source screen recorder called CamStudio that is similar and free which I used before I bought Camtasia. Microsoft also has a free Windows Media Encoder that will capture to WMV files (of course). So there are lots of capture options to choose from.
