  Audio Dropout While Editing with Vegas 8.0c

  Has anyone ever run into this problem. I have no effects on, I have two tracks of HD video 1920×1080 and while I’m editing, the audio will dropout, the video will keep going but it will also stutter a little and Vegas will freeze. If I click anything while it’s frozen, it stays frozen for ever and I have to take it out in task manager. If I wait a little while, it becomes active again but will drop out. Basically every two seconds when I press play, the audio will drop out.

  Thanks for any help on this issue, it’s driving me nuts to constantly have to press the spacebar to hear!

  Do you have your page file for Windows on the same disc as your captured video? Also, is the disc part of a RAID system? If so, you may want to move your page file elsewhere or attempt to move your file(s) that are in the project to a different hard drive.

  What are your system specs and how is your system set up?
