  • Multiple Chroma Keying Glitch? help

Posted by Kevin Klean on May 25, 2009 at 6:25 am

    Hello everyone,

I am currently having an issue with Sony Vegas when I attempt to stack multiple ‘chroma keyed’ clips on top of each other…my little example below should clear up what my words don’t express (I hope.) This is a real big issue for my project due to the fact that I need to stack about 20 + clips on to this 1.5 second frame =p

Thank you in advance regardless for taking the time to read this.

It might have something to do with the codecs you are using. One solution would be to render out the chroma keyed clips as Quicktime Animation using 32bit. This will preserve the alpha channel generated by the chroma key. It will also speed up your final render significantly.

When you bring the Quicktime files back into Vegas you may have to right-click and select properties and set the alpha channel on the Media tab to Straight (unmatted).
