I updated to the (officially unsupported) version Vegas 8.1 on my Windows XP 64 bit machine (which runs way better than Vista 64), and have been mostly impressed, aside from a few quicktime install quirks…

but now i have a bit of a bug. If i am editing on the timeline of vegas and want to edit a sound clip in SF, when i go to Edit a COPY of the sound event it opens at a little over twice the speed in Sound Forge, and stays that way (the COPY does, the original is always OK).

Has anyone else with my rare but highly efficient system encountered this? I am going to try a simple re-install of Sound Forge 8 (maybe the problem is that it is SF 8?

    matt
