  Basic HD Editing Question

  I have been editing with Sony Vegas Pro for a few years now, but have only edited standard def footage. I will be working on a project next week where I will need to edit footage together from a Sony EX-1, and a Panasonic HVX200 (the client owns one of each camera, and wants to do a 2-camera shoot). This will be my first HD job, and I just upgraded to Vegas 8 for this.

  Has anyone ever tried mixing footage from these two cameras before in Vegas? How was the resulting product? Anything I should be aware of – like plug-ins that I might need in order to import and edit the footage?

  Also, does anyone know of an online guide on how to get HVX footage from the camera into Vegas? I found one for the Sony camera, but can’t find a step-by-step for the HVX.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
