Not with just Vegas alone. VASST Ultimate S Pro is a plug-in that has an option to save all of your tracks, buses. etc. so that you can quickly start you project with the setup you want. You could also write a script to do this.

Here’s a workaround to can try.
Get it set up the way you want and save it using a name like default.veg
Load this project the next time you start Vegas, re-save it immediately using a different name and start editing.

Thanks, I tried that but I don’t like it, is there a way to make it so it’s on there permanently?

    Nope.
Personally I wouldn’t want that anyway.
My work varies enough from project to project that I’d be changing the “default” settings all the time.

“I want to have it say “Video, Text, Video Overlay etc. on startup! ”

Then you are probably better off with Vegas Movie Studio 9 (platinum pro). That version offers what you would like to have…

    He may as well.
After all, who needs unlimited audio & video tracks, advanced colour correction, nesting, velocity envelopes, custom templates, scopes, etc., etc., etc.
